In this article, co-authored with Pontus Cerin and Yang Liu, we examined companies’ reporting needs relating to the Sustainable Development Goals. We developed an approach and alignment framework for using different GRI and IIRC SDG guides together in response to those needs.
The research drew on a literature review, semi-structured interviews and content analysis. We examined SDG disclosures by four telecommunications companies to assess how the approach could address company-specific reporting needs. The article was published in volume 333 of the Journal of Cleaner Production in 2022.

In my thesis, completed at Linköping University in 2020, I examined alignment between the SDG guides of corporate sustainability reporting frameworks. I worked on a methodology that would help companies use different guides together while considering their own needs and stakeholder expectations.
I considered reporting in relation to impact assessment, sustainability strategy, management accounting and control. The research was supported by telecommunications case studies, interviews with sustainability professionals and analysis of corporate disclosures.
